About

Based in Gainesville, Florida Mac grew up exploring the rivers, swamps, hammocks, and prairies of North Central Florida. Cultivating his love for the outdoors at an early age, he filled his time with sweaty photography ventures into the humid whispers of Florida’s backwoods. Since, his camera has carried him to some of the most beautifully remote and endangered areas this side of the globe.
Published regionally and internationally, Mac has entered the photography world with an unyielding energy and charisma. His subjects run the gamut from volatile riots in Ecuador to America’s disappearing wetlands.
Putting his images to work, Mac has used his photography and prose to affect policy and raise environmental awareness in four different countries. His passion to share, inspire, and educate is derived from a profound respect for the natural world. Currently, Mac is working in the Florida Keys with the National Audubon Society to further Everglades Restoration efforts.
