The Cangrejal River is a class V river that flows between the Nombre de Dios mountain range and Pico Bonito National Park. The stunning watershed is home to an impressive diversity of flora and fauna as well as small villages that line the river. Slash and burn agriculture as well as poaching threatens the landscape as the city of La Ceiba pulses and expands up the mountains.
