EVERGLADES ON HIGH

The Everglades is a watershed 100 miles long and over 60 miles wide, encompassing nearly a 1/3 of the state of Florida. The famous River of Grass transects many different ecosystems on its way from Lake Okeechobee to Florida Bay. This portfolio shows the diverse habitats, wildlife, and incredible landscapes that make the Everglades one of the premier wilderness destinations in the world.

Through years of failed water management schemes to drain the wetland, restoration efforts continue to revive the Everglades. This collection of aerial photographs offer a unique glimpse of the River of Grass.
