The Everglades watershed contains over 30 animal species that are federally threatened or endangered, and over 350 species of birds. Within this subtropical wilderness many plants and animals exist nowhere else in the continental United States, some of which exist nowhere else on the planet. This portfolio highlights the diversity of wildlife in the Everglades. As a field biologist in Everglades National Park, I had unique access to areas where few are permitted to go.
