My plan was to arrive in Pensacola by mid afternoon to shoot sunset and find a comfortable hotel before giving a keynote the next day. But, after exploring Gulf Islands National Seashore and seeing the high rise hotels on the beach, I thought I could do much better. So, with a great blue heron friend, I found a small pier and slept just fine as a lighthouse kept rhythm on the horizon.
